Lani creates large-scale acrylic and oil paintings. She employs a high degree of technical skill to capture subtle interpretations of emotion and elicit bold statements of self-expression from an entirely feminine perspective.

"What fascinates me is how our stories are created and chosen. How the ‘realities’ we invent are an interplay of what seems real and what seems scripted, and how one reality can be  interpreted, or brought into being by another. This type of space exists within the self-expression and the presentation of women— how they uphold the very essence of life while simultaneously being constrained and shaped by the society around them."
